Highlights
-hiked up an active volcano with a huge wooden board attached to our backs to ash board down
-breath taking views, extremely terrifying wind, and one or the hottest hikes as there is no vegetation
-at one point I was on all fours scrambling off the rocks
-when we reached the top, you could reach down and touch the rocks on the ground and fell how hot they were from the volcano
-the suits we had to wear for ash boarding were ridiculous
-ash boarding itself was absolutely ridiculous: imagine sitting on a piece of wood and sliding down at a 45 degree incline over 700 meters (in elevation) down an active volcano
-saw "hervideros" geysers whose vapor leaves the earth at 300 degrees Celsius (we could never get away from the smell of sulfur)
