Been fighting with technology to try to get my photos from instagram onto this blog of things. So far this is the best I can do. Check out my insta (@katstaud) for more sick pics of Paraguay, and search the hashtag PCPY for even cooler pics of Paraguay that other volunteers have taken!

Sometimes when I’m sitting out on my porch drinking terere and watching the ox carts go down the red dirt roads, I forget about my life back at home. It’s easy to get lost in the campo life. Recently, I’ve been brought back to the reality that life goes on, even when you’re not there to witness it...
Sometimes I’m at a loss of words as to how I can possibly explain to my friends and family how different the life is here in Paraguay. Instead of trying to explain parts of it, let me fill you in on a couple common situations I go through here.
My life has is officially a series of awkward events strung together. Luckily everyone here is so welcoming and friendly that it doesn’t stay awkward for too long….
So here’s what I’m up to: No words. Just lots of feelings. (But I’ll do my best to put some of these feelings into words, and preferably in English, just for you!)
We swore in as Peace Corps Volunteers this morning! I'll write more about swear in later, but now we're off to our sites! I'll leave you with this video I've been working on all throughout training. It's a one second a day compilation of the past 10 weeks of training! Enjoy! So I’m sitting here, about to take my Language Proficiency Interview (LPI) in Guarani, and I have all the feels right about now about Guarani. What should I do? Study for my LPI? Nah, I’ll blog about it (because its not very often I get any type of feels).
